  • Overwintered Spinach and Chard

    Hi folks

I grew some spinach and chard last Autumn in a mixture of pots. They have survived the winter and some are looking pretty healthy whilst other are looking stunted. Ive created 4 large(ish) raised beds and was wondering if it would be worth whilst planting them on there?

    Cheers
    Neil

They are biennial so will try to set seed; but you should get a fair amount of leaves and if you cut the flower stems off, they will be ok for a while after and don't go bitter like lettuce does.
