  • James Wong - seeds

I've just sown some Wintergreen, Stevia, Wild White Strawbs and Agastache and I'm shocked at the seed numbers within.

I thought when I sowed the agastache that there were not 38 in there, but when I got to the Wintergreen [18] and Stevia [18] there were only 8 and 7 in the packet. I know they are small but by heck, I can count!

I've asked them to send me replacements as these are for school gardens...we shall see if they respond.

Not good publicity - and at the price of them I want the full seed count please!

    That's really rubbish.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Several grapes have bought James Wong's seeds - hope they check how many seeds they have after reading this

I know Zaz - just reinforcing it
Lots of those seeds are sold by Pennard. Wonder how many seeds they provide?

I don't know but I sold some of those exotic crops to pennards last week so expect a new range in 18 months!

                I'll be watching!!
They sell 450 seeds of Agastache (Anise hyssop) for £1.50 but the Stevia is more expensive.

I told you this guy was selling common seeds at rare prices, or maybe it wasn't you. I am staggered at how popular he is and how rich he must be getting. A lot of his seeds are available through Chase. Purslane for example.

A lot of the seeds seem to have been given fancy names - but are actually quite common. That's what bugs me!

I bought some of his seeds. Guess I had better check them out. Next time I won't be so fast to buy seeds that I think are rare without checking them out first

I know and maybe you should tweet him or write to him personally. What's the seed tally on the packet or does it not state? I think it's a bit of a con TBH but I understand why you want to get kids hooked with plants that are "different". Maybe keep the packets and fill from Chase or Pennards

I've kept the packets - they were less than half full...and we'll see if Suttons get back to me. If not, I'll tweet him

You know in the rainbow corn, which was the only one I bought, I didn't get that much either. Thinking about it. Was that the one we split or was that Pennards?
