If you have a photo of it, drag it into google image search, this should find you some results.

Very hard to work out what it is from your description!
As VN suggests- a photo would be useful.

          Perhaps it could be speedwell?

Agreed - Speedwell is most likely. But could it be Hairy Bittercress - I know it has white flowers but it does spread everywhere - or even forgetmenot?

I think that is shepherd's purse, it is a brassica and resistant to the supressant weedkiller ramrod sowed along with the seed of swedes. This weed continues togrow along with the swedeswhilst the others are controlled.. It develops a seedpod which when ripe, explodes scattering seeds around

I think VC is right, that's bittercress. Shepherds' Purse has leaves a bit more like a dandelion.

The easiest way to tell them apart is by their seed pods. Bittercress has long thin tubular type pods, like oil seed rape, Shepherds Purse has.........little purse shaped pods......

Do you mean blue AND white?

My money's on speedwell, like the others.

It's very cold-tolerant and will be in flower practically all year round. Pull it up, keep pulling it up. Never let it go to seed.
