  • Indoor grow with lights? (Naga/Jolokia)

Looking to get back in to chilli growing but I don't have a lot of time any more and wondered about growing indoors with some inexpensive LED lights and possibly a small tent type thing for the wardrobe as my house loses heat quick and in the night the temp falls to 16c.

I'm only looking for a small crop of 5 which will be Habanero, Bhut Jolokia and Naga.

My house temp falls a darn sight lower than that at night ......and why hide them in a wardrobe?

my habaneros seedlings are under flourecent tubes on a cupboard shelf.

Daytime temperature beneath lights is at around 23 degrees.

Then slowly decreases to approx 16-18 degrees when the lights are out.

This is still quite warm for a night time temperature I would guess (as far as the chillies are concerned).

you'll be ok down to about 10 degrees any lower for any more than a couple days and you risk shocking them to stop growing for a period
16 degrees is a very good temp for overnight
