  • Where have the last 21 years gone?

Today is the 21st Anniversary of the passing of Freddie Mercury, the only man to make me cry. I remember sitting in bed 21 years ago watching the TV in disbelief, tears running down my face. I still play his music everyday & enjoy every minute. How can someone you have never met have this affect?..........or am I just Slightly Mad..............

It is hard to believe it's 21 years. I think, though, that Freddie would have been thrilled to know that his music still has the same effect 21 years on....

I said to the family back in the Summer (use that word loosely) that the Olympics ceremonies would have been a far, far, different kettle of fish if we'd still had Queen......forget the Coldplay concert......can you imagine if it had been Freddie & Queen?

    Mind-blowing......

You're not Mad - at least not in this respect - you're just someone whose life has been touched by the power of music, and the man who brought that music to life. Celebrate his gift to you and keep playing his music

I've just Gurgled (excuse me, sorry) I was 5 when Queen got together in 1971. That's just a tiny bit marvellous.

I grew up listening to Queen, but I didn't realise how long I'd been listening to them.

Hey Potty, remember we're as young as we feel - most of the time I feel about 21, still giddy and stupid.
Put Queen on and you'll be back there too

The brains about 22. Thats half the problem the body can't keep up.

I went to see Mercury I good few months back, IMO the best Queen tribute band around, even Freddie's mum likes them, she was there.

You get caught up in the music, the feet start to tap, the hands are drumming on the table. Then you realise that all the folks dancing really are 22 and you would just look a p**t.

I've seen many Queen tribute bands & by far my fav has to be "One night of Queen" featuring Gary Mullin (winner of Stars in their eyes). Have seen them 6/7 times and would go see them again.

At one time, not too long ago, it was whispered that any CD left in a car glove compartment for over a month, automatically morphed into a Queen CD..............
