  • Apologies for Absence...

Hey guys, long time, no see...

Some of you may have noticed I've been a bit AWOL recently. My little sister got married on Friday, and I was in charge of making the cake, so I've had my head well and truly wedged where the sun don't shine with all the stress of it for a couple of weeks. Thankfully, I managed to pull it off pretty well I think, and it survived the drive from Yorkshire to Slough despite being in my 'firm' suspensioned Jimny!

Hopefully, despite already being behind on this year's OU module ( again...), I should be around a bit more now!

    The cake wot I made.

The room all set up - my big sis did the flowers, and all of us together set the room up in the morning before getting tarted up.

    The happy couple.

All of my sisters and my dad.

    My sister and my daughter.

No need to apologise Sarz, you have had a lot on your plate. You looked wonderful as did the rest of your family and that cake..... Just brilliant!

No, I didn't have to make the roses; they were real fresh ones, delivered with the bride's bouquet etc. I had to strip the leaves and cut the stems down, then wrap the bit of stem left in cling film and then tin foil, before arranging them and sticking them in the cake.
