I'm sure that we all have had times when things go wrong or for what ever reason we have problems/troubles that life throws at us. Doesnt mean your at fault.

You have raised good children. I know they can be a pain but at least they're not out doing drugs or anything else bad.

Be kind to yourself.

Thanks love! Actually, it's been quite liberating to admit my nutterliness. It was a relief to get it out in the open. But it's not PROPER Nutter stuff, you know? I feel like I'm under-achieving here.

We've all screwed up from time to time, this does not make us screw-ups, it makes us human.

If you're going to be a proper nutter in the eyes and minds of society in general you first have to lose all interest in trying to 'fit in', then you can let the true you out and to hell with what people think. If you want to sing in the supermarket...do it. If you want to wear bermuda-shorts on a rainy day...do it. People will point and stare, and those of a bolder nature will tell you to your face that you're "Not right" or "Not normal" and you'll thank them with a smile.

You see, there are no real nutters, there are just those who morph themselves into the neat little package that society expects them to be, and there are those who don't.

I come under the category of 'nutter' because I refuse to be anything other than myself, even though this often means that I differ from what is generally expected from a man. I don't like football but I do like figure skating, apparently this means that I'm weird and, on more than one occasion, I've been asked about my sexual preference because of these facts! My response was... "While you're busy watching hairy-legged men in shorts, I'll be watching attractive young women in tight, skimpy outfits. Who's the gay one?". It shut them up but it didn't stop them thinking that I was weird I also don't drink beer, so I'm weird. I have long hair...weird again. The list goes on and society continues to tell me that I'm not normal. I thank society for noticing that I am a unique individual, rather than a sheep that is compelled to unthinkingly follow the rest of the flock.
The Oxford English Dictionary says: Normal (adjective) Conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected. So to be normal, we must conform. They can keep their 'normal' and I will continue to be true to myself.

Abandon vanity, normality and any unnecessary sense of ego...welcome to the nutters club.

As for you Pa.......I think I'm in love! I have sung in the supermarket (headphones have a lot to answer for) and I lust openly over professional cyclists legs, and male tennis players bottoms......I even deviate from knitting patterns, knitting things in my own yarns & colours!

I don't think I made myself into a little tidy parcel of pigeon holeness. Other people did that for me. They just weren't very happy when I undid the string and fell out of the hole. Apart from the bouts of depression (generally brought on when people expect me to be what they want me to be and I cannot live up to their expectations) I do really quite like being the Me I am discovering. I'm not just mum, I'm not ready to parent my parents or be a big sister to my big sister all of the time.

After all, you're only here once.
