  • can I make chutney with blighted toms?

So nearly all my tomato plants have blight now. Oi've picked off the green tomatos but they all have the tell tale green circles that will go brown and turn the whole fruit yucky. But can I make green tomato chutney with them now? It's the only way I'm going to get anything from my tomato plants this year.

I did last year. We've eaten a few jars of it now, and it tastes really nice. I'd use them quickly though - the blighted ones I used were still fairly firm, and not discoloured.

my outside tomatoes become green tomato chutney every year, I usually harvest them as soon as the plant gets blight and he fruit are firm and not discoloured. tastes great after laving them to ripen for 3 months at least.
