    Consternation then satisfaction.............

    I was out jogging this evening on a long straight road. Young jogger-ess passed me at a rate of knots then disappeared up a side road. Half a mile down the road she passed me again after coming out behind me at a junction.
    Further down the road she turned off again and I knew the road came out onto the road I was on so methinks "If she's going to try for a third time I'm going to make her work for it"

    I upped the pace and noticed her coming down the side road and once again and bolting past me!

    Two hundred yards down the road she dived behind a bus shelter got on her knees and puked! I was going to ask if she was ok as I merrlily jogged past her but thought it better not to rub salt in the wound.

    Tortoisee and the hare springs to mind!

    p'haps she was looking for somewhere private to puke and failing that trying to get home..........I remember having to dive behind a tree once when I was preggy..... at half seven in the morning it was not a good look

      Was it her age or her gender that pleased you, Snadger? Or that she was sick?

      Bit of schadenfreude I think.

          Go on Snadger, I laugh at the young guns in some of my classes, they heave up the weights and then cant lift them off and rely on us older ones to help them, you dad on and do what you do

            Yeah I got sick of getting breathless walking in Sydney last time I was there - everyone speeding along - but then we went uphill on a slight slant (to me) and I was getting ahead without trying, could walk and talk on a steep slope but crap on the flat! I may be old and a little flabby but I've still got what it takes to walk up a mean hill!

              It was when I worked out she was going to try and do me THREE times that addled me. It didn't really matter whether she was a young girl,auld woman,young lad,auld bloke...................it was the THREE times that got to me!

              The satisfaction was that having been done, I realised she'd done herself.

              No idea what a schadenfreude is and can't be arrised to google it.
