  • what's happened to my cauliflower

    my cauliflower is about 4-5 inches across and has got a purple tinge on it . any ideas what it could be.
    will post a pic when batteries are charged

    maybe a purple cauliflower seed accidently fell into the packet?

        Have you got it covered with its own leaves against the sun? One of mine went purpley and then brown because I didn't tie its leaves over the curds.......
        If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!

          i had it covered with its own leaves
          here is a picture of it



          the variety on the packet says cauliflower all year round and make is country value

          i have about another 6 growing all at different stages of growth

            It seems to me that it is just being a cauliflower, most cauli's were originally coloured in some way or other. Make sure no light can get to the curd and a foliar feed may help.
