  • Sunny side up

well, after giving up on this year, and putting summer clothes away, the sun came out on thursday, friday, saturday, sunday and monday, its cool and breezy today, with a little bit of rain, small showers, but the effect.....raspberries by the pound, goosegogs, alpine strawbs, blackcurrants ,and the peaches in the g/house nearly ripe, along with the toms and various peppers/chillies,all of a sudden it all seems worth while, now a good spell of sun to get the melons to catch up and i will be a happy man,the blackcurrant ice cream is going down a treat while i am waiting....

Its been gorgeous here as well. Hoping it will cheer the toms and beans up abit and maybe encourage the pumpkins to grow!
Only down side is that the butterflies have finally arrived and Im wishing that I bothered netting my brussells and kale....got a feeling I may regret that later on!LOL

we saw our first butterfly of the year today,my OH is saying that the french beans i planted out in april still havent flowered yet but with some more sun they should produce and from what they are saying we will all be getting our shades out at the weekend,so get all those jobs done now, then stretch out in the sun,go a nice colour, then, when those awful people from down the road start going on about their hols, you can say that you enjoyed better here,we dont get much sun so use it to the max....be a stay at home beach dude...
