Why would you do that? Whatever it is it's going to seed.

what i mean is i have a tub of seeds with many packets of seeds in that tub to keep them dry i have had this tub for many years so i thought i would have a sort through the seeds there were a few left at the bottom i thought instead of throwing them away i would see if
      1. they would grow and
      2. what they were

i dont have a pot with loads of loose seeds in altho that is how the question comes across sorry!

        looks like rape, or mustard.

(if you're going to check on google images, you may want to search for 'flowering rape', you get a different kind of image, otherwise)

Taste a leaf and see- unless there were non-edibles in your tub of seeds!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Searching some more, and it definitely looks in the brassica family, could maybe also be broccoli raab or a bolted turnip.

I'd agree brassica - we have fields of unidentifiable brassica behind us and it looks very similar. I know it Brassica cos of the smell (in the field, not you photo!)
If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!
