Yellow eggs?

    Yellow eggs?

    Another question, sorry

    I thinned out some radishes today and noticed that all over the top of the soil I seem to have tiny yellow things that look like they might be eggs. This is in a pot in the blowaway.

    I'll try to get a picture if needed but my camera struggles with close ups! Was just wondering if anyone had any idea what it might be?

      Hmm they could be, it's hard to tell really because they are so small. I'm really worried they are slug eggs!!

        Slug eggs look like little pearls and are usually laid in a cluster.

          Slug eggs tend to look a bit like ivory caviare...ie spherical. and are found secreted in the soil or under a stone/plastic etc.
          Ladybird eggs are mouse poop shaped and yellow...found attached under leaves...most usually in a spot near aphids so the hatchlings will have a readymeal.

            Hmm they are spherical but definitely yellow. I'm going to try take a picture but will most likely just get frustrated that with all the technology in this house not one of them can focus on something close up!

                i don't know but may be some yellow mushroom... usually they grow in house plant but maybe in greenhouse as well.. maybe are slugs...sorry i'm noty much of help

                  The variation in size suggests fungus to me also. Eggs are generally one size fits all.

                    Hmm, the pot has only been in there a couple days and it certainly isn't damp...

                    I think I've decided to blame that B&Q compost, it's awful

                      That compost is dreadful! I got the verve stuff from B&Q which is still very woody but at least has mostly fine compost.

                          I used b&m compost very cheap but seam good. 20 bag for £25.
