My Ulster Sceptre have been in 10 weeks today. I'm too scared to have a furtle yet in case I don't find anything.

I haven't got flowers on my spuds yet - I do, however, appear to have blight Pants eh!

      And yes, they are pretty

It's tempting though. The rain is the only thing that's standing in the way of my furtling.

But having a furtle is way better than digging up a whole plant and then not finding any spuds worth having. At least furling you can pick the ones you want and leave the rest alone.

Is that not scorching rather than blight, Piskie ?
Sent from my pc cos I don't have an i-phone.

I think I prefer the lilac coloured flowers rather than the white. Cheers, Tony.

Mine are both lilac coloured, and very pretty they are too! I didnt realiese stodgy great big potatoes had such dainty flowers.
I think I will have to get mine up soon. This morning I noticed that alot of them have fallen right over, hoping they are still ok as they are bent but not broken. Only thing I can figure is that the heavy rain flattened them as they have fallen away from a fence that would protect them from wind.
Not only lovely flowers but also much taller planty bits then I originally thought!LOL
