Does anyone know offhand of an inexpensive bottle that I can buy for making elderflower cordial and champagne. (scandinavian homewares!!) - sell one called Korken but its gone up to £2.50, used to be £1.99 thats obscene...

I'm looking for the type with a stopper lid.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I tend to want smaller ones than that as they take up too much room in the fridge and save bottles all year from dressings, other cordials etc etc and my friends know to send theirs my direction also. Don't do fancy swing top ones though as they cost too much and I don't buy unless I really really have to. Still give them away as pressies and nobody has complained yet.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I can find them relatively inexpensive but the packaging costs are astronomical.

      I'm looking for about 60-70.

I just purchased some from Wares of Knutsford, I bought 54 bottles and they worked out at £1.39 each including delivery. I couldn't fault that price, I'll wait and see what the service is like.

Nothing wrong with the large fizzy drink bottles. I don't consume the stuff myself, but I have a friend who does and I collect them from her. They can withstand quite a bit of pressure as well.

                Cheers, Tony.

I had some ginger beer in a 2L water bottle (like 9p or something, smart price thing). Left it at a mates house, he forgot about it - and when he found it, the bottle was round !
