Just had some of these too - really tasty - like you I am going to 'nick' a couple from the veg rack and plant up - I grow only a few spuds each year in large pots, will let you know how I get on.

                  Hi Alex,
I hung fire before planting to see if they would actually throw a sprut. Didn't want to waste compost if they had been treated.

Glad to say all now have small chits on them so today I planted them up. Now its just wait and see I guess.

                    Hi Alex,

Hows your spuds doing? Mine seem to being going well at this time just a case of wait and see now, I think.

Hi Colin, your potatoes look great. Mine too seem to be going along nicely - will post pic shortly.

We have already harvested some of the Charlottes, not a huge crop, about 1kg per 30cm pot, but lovely flavour.

                        Update.

The haulm has started to die back so couldn't resist a furtle. There is definatly a crop felt a couple of nice sized tubers.

Will wait till the haulm has completely died back before harvest.

                          Hi Colin,

Harvested the first pot this morning - not a huge crop, but they look good, so having them for dinner this evening.

I planted them, two tubers to a 30cm pot on April 30th, so almost exactly three months ago.

Alex, not to worried about the size of yield at this stage more will they taste as nice as the originals, and you will be able to confirm that for me.

                            Nice spuds by the way.

OK so today was the day. I allowed the haulm to die right back before the harvest.

This is the result from 4 tubers planted in a 40ltr trug on 08/05, 10lbs 10 ozs of very nice spuds. If they taste as nice as the originals I shall be nicking some more tubers next years
