We bought ours from a place in Pool near Camborne if you can get down that far. They are beautiful birds. When we went to the shop we fancied having a small flock of different hens so they sold us some of the guys slightly older stock but they usually do POL in from the shop. You could ring first and see what they've got - very healthy stock.

I used poultry supplies near Wadebridge for my first batch, they seemed okay, guy was helpful. My next lot came from Michelle at BHWT in Camelford, they are due some more this week I believe. I had 3 from a lady in Falmouth, where the veg store is on the main truro to flamouth road. Good well bred chickens, just she wouldn't let me see her flock or premises and to be honest I want to see the chucks before I buy. However i did buy 4 from her and they are good layers and have been virtually trouble free

Do you mean the one on the A39 that sits in that layby? I didn't know they sold chucks - does she have them at the shop there?

please see post 24/5/10 all chickens still alive except belle the grey one who died 2 months ago , I did post a couple of weeks after them that the sussex seemed poorly but there was nothing wrong with her just a new owner to chickens being paranoid.

I would buy again from this lady

Where to buy chickens in cornwall

I have bred and supplied poultry for some years and use only top lines of unrelated stock. All poultry leaves here guaranteed to be healthy, my advice is free, so even beginners will have great back-up in Poultry Keeping. i will advise you on the birds you need to meet your requirements, ie 'Egg Laying Machine' or friendly little 'Garden Bird'. For the Pro, or for the kids,,, not all birds suit all. Feeds, i have many happy customers who return time again over the years.new & used chicken house / coop alway for sale at great prices 50% saving on shop price
