Has anyone used this company's growing stations? I have one or two falls in my little plot-ette and was told by Doc I must use raised beds.I can't manage a wooden one as I don't have the strength....long story. Help appreciated.

I grow in them and they have been great for me. Very light so you can move them around and shape them to your growing space and mine have been effective at keeping the slugs away.Comment

Not heard of them, but has anyone used one of their hotbin composters? I get usable compost very fast, but they claim up to 32x faster? hmmmComment

Yes, they are nice and light - so long as they are not so light that they blow away.
They are supposed to be stable when filled with compost.

I have not had this problem myself but, to be honest, mine are positioned against a wall sheltered from the wind. They are quite heavy though when filled. What position would you put it in on the plot-ette?Comment

Potty inovations
My plotette is bottom of the garden facing the house; the garden being a slightly western twist off the axis,On the west side (facing east) there is a laylandii hedge (not sure on the spelling of the hedge name) somewhere between the south boundary fence and
the south facing wall. Further north, a bit, I was hoping to put a GH when I can afford it so I don't want to fill that area with anything else just now. Obviously, the further right put it, the more sunshine it will get. Thanks for asking.

To be honest with the weight they are when filled It would need enough wind to damage a greenhouse to blow away the beds. Still if you are worried you could always try starting them in a sheltered position. Better yet you could start with a small bed as they are alot cheaper then some of the alternatives and, if it does not work for you, it is not as big a loss. Still I swear by mine and found it great for carrots and leeks in particular. Even if I would consider myself new to this gardening malarkee!Comment
