  • Argh!!!

My darling 3 year old has happily opened and tipped 15 packets of seeds all over my bedroom floor (carpet of course.) I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I have managed to pick the majority of them up but have no idea what they are apart from the beetroot, peas and tomato seeds. It was, part from potatoes, garlic and some fruit bushes, my entire allotment planting scheme including herbs.

That reminded me of a friend of mine for a mo.... She found out her other half had been unfaithful and went to get her clothes etc when he was away for a few days. She sprinkled cress seeds on all the carpets including the stairs, watered them and whacked heating on high

Right now I'm quite tempted to plant her, feet first, in the allotment. Scarlet, a kiss is most definitely off the list, I'm way too cross to even want to look at her let alone bestow affection on her.

and you'll probably end up with a much more attractive and less pest-infested allotment than one grown in rows or blocks of plants.

And can I quietly ask: where did you keep your seeds that a 3yo could reach, and in a bedroom?? (Oh, and let's be glad she didn't just eat them! )

Oops! Hoover your carpet and spread the bag contents on a piece of empty ground in the spring. Could be quite exciting seeing what comes up!

I put them on MY bedside table about 45 mins ago, approx 2.5 hours after I put her to bed, in HER room so they should have been perfectly fine there. Also they're vegetable seeds, so maybe not as tasty as the end result but not poisonous, so wouldn't have worried if she had eaten them.

Maybe the seeds you need are in the Virtual Seed Parcel? You could swap them for a bag of random carpet fluff!

Lizzie, I can give you a whole boxful of seeds in packets, but they are out of date as I didn't get round to planting my grandiose plans after we got the chooks.

I did indeed get those lovely seeds - these ARE those seeds. I'd been planing to share some of them with some lotty pals, hence being in the bedroom (the seeds not my lotty pals btw)
