Snap Currysniffa - can't remember the last time I used it before then either...
If I don't have the cash for it I don't buy it these days.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Well, contactless payments are limited to £15 over here anyway..

I have a credit card, everything (literally, everything we buy) is bought on it - and then paid off in full at the end of the month. We do this to get clubcard points - which we've turned into days out, holidays, etc.

Oh, and what legitimate allows you to ship to a different address if you don't have the billing address, or CVV2 ?

Chris when you say contactless purchase's are limited to £15 over her do you mean the UK?

Because I regularly make purchase's of over £1000-00 over the telephone with no trouble what so ever.

contactless payment, wave the card at the machine, it takes your money!
you dont have to put your card in or your pin number, although at my work the customers dont get a copy of the card slip when doing it - its not for me!

Contactless (aka RFID - as per in the video) are limited to £15 max here in the UK, yep.. Phone wise that's different, as you're authorising them to take the amount and providing the details

Only my debit cards have it on, wasn't aware until the video that c/c's had it.

So if someone stole your card details, could they make a phone purchase using them?
The quickscan feature isn't on either my credit or debit card but I'm curious in case it appears on the next card!

Chris yes got you now. Contactless as in nobody makes contact with anything. Have checked my cards and they don't have the logo and having seen the vid they never will, I shall contract out of that scheme.

I had a strange one this week. I don't buy a lot on line but during a purchase for some e-liqiud I had completed my card details on the Nochex page and clicked pay now. A new page dropped down purporting to be advanced Mastercard security asking me to enter my card details again plus my pin number. Needless to say I closed that one down immediately and contacted Mastercard & Nochex. After checks it would appear that something has got through my Kapspersky security and I now await a visit by a mate to clean up my putor.

They would need your house number, postcode, and card, alot of companies will only send goods to the registered card address now, but not all. Normally if this happens the credit card company will refund you.

This wasnt Veri-sign by mastercard?? The first time you use this service it will ask for you to input a pin number.
If it wasnt this, and was asking for a FULL EXISTING pin number then its dodgy, even your bank dont know your pin number and no genuine companies would ever ask for it in full.

No it wasn't Veri-sign but it did look very authentic i.e. Mastercard logo's etc. Soon as I saw it was asking for my pin I knew it was dodgy and closed the window and notified the companies involved.
