  • SNUFF! Read it yet?

Have you read the latest from Sir Terry? I'm halfway through.

Who would you cast as Sam Vimes in a movie? I can think of several actors but they're either too old (favourites from my past such as Robert Lindsay) or a bit too chunky (Sean Bean) or just not quite as perfect a match as I'd like. The late, great Pete Postlethwaite would have been perfect. I do hope Sky follow their past successes with a Night Watch special.

    So, who would you cast?

    Sshhh! Not read it yet!

Hhhmmm, Sam Vimes.... he's a difficult one. You'd have to get some gritty, but also someone who could read "Where's my Cow" with the requisite sound effects....

Possibly Ricky Tomlinson - he's got the look, and I suspect he could do the voices too....

I'm 67% through it which will tell those in the know that it's on my Kindle!
I saw Guards! Guards! as a play a few years ago and Paul Darrow (who used to be in Blake's Seven for those with long memories) played Vimes and he was absolutely brilliant.

I had a crush on Paul Darrow years ago. Has he aged well?

Ooh yes, Paul Darrow would be a good fit
The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.
