  • Could you go a whole week without...

    ...checking in on forums?

That is to say, if you are still sitting in your usual environment - being away on holiday doesn't count!

So, sitting in my normal environment, if I gave up checking the vine for week......could I pop in and use the library computers instead?

I'd struggle to give up all of them. Although I did cut down drastically when I was revising for my exam in June. I could stop coming here for a week, if I was still allowed Facebook. Or I could maybe give up FB, if I could still come here. But as someone who doesn't work/have workmates, and studies via distance learning, I'd essentially be giving up a lot of my adult interactions if I gave it all up.

Possible, but then why make myself miserable and lonely?

I log in morning and night and during the day if I'm at home. I really miss it when it's down. Guess I'm close to addicted.

I know its 'sad', and probably could abstain if I wanted to, but why should I?

I really enjoy the crack, the banter, learning stuff, the comaraderie of the 'vine'........... a lot of which is missing in other cyber communities I occasionally frequent.

So in essence " Yes, but I aint going to!"
