  • Carol Klein has closed her nursery

TV gardener Carol Klein shuts nursery after compost dispute - Gardening, House & Home - The Independent

Just read this article. Not sure what the truth is, but I am sorry she has had to close.

Has she really shut it. I saw the article yesterday that said she was in dispute over rented land from her new neighbour.

Apparently he's given her notice and she has cancelled the NGS viewing planned for Wednesday. It was her compost pile that was too big and too smelly, ironically, the landlord wants to use the land to create a veg garden.

Silly man! She should have bought it off previous neighbour whilst there was a chance they would say yes. I wonder what the old neighbour thinks to it all. I like Carol and her style of gardening - find her one of the most useful gardening gurus to be honest.

Until we find out more I quote an old saying adapted to purpose.

There is Mr Tanner's side to the story.

There is Ms Klein's side to the story.

And somewhere in between is the truth.

There's always three sides to every story.

              Honestly, what a shame.

Most stuff in nurseries are easily transportable though, including plants and polytunnels etc.

I agree, there's probably more to the story than meets the eye.

Hope she soldiers on and sets up somewhere else.

I like Carol and she seems very sensible. I wonder if this couple are wanting a bit of fame.

Apparently she had at least nine months notice, so maybe it's her wanting a bit more fame

I doubt it'll be closed for good, she has enough space (and/or money) to be able to re-open.
