  • Finally starting again

Feeling far more settled now, planted 5 tubs worth of veg 2 peas, 2 beans and a tomato. Also even though, it is the heart of winter here, I have inherited a tomato plant. Yes, it's hale and hearty in winter double Will plant more in the coming weeks.. yay!

Incy, it does, but the gardens are surprisingly small given the space there is in Aus. The houses are huge and the gardens are comparable to most semi's back home in the good ol' UK. Secondly as it's a rented place ( we will look to purchase in 2 or so years time further out in the sticks, we're hoping for a 5 - 20 acre plot then, things will be properly sorted.

so far, the veg selection that I have found has been very disappointing

What I have saved seeds from is a queensland blue pumpkin which I will be planting very soon and I found my fav gold rush courgette seedsand they'll be planted soon too.

Sorry to keep harping on about it but honestly tom plants growing in the middle of winter!!!

If your struggling to find/acquire seeds R.T p.m me and I'll see what I can do. I know all seeds have to have there horticultural name on the envelope and there's seeds that I'll not be able to send, but I'm sure we'll manage to get some home comforts to you...somehow.

Better be a low flying pigeon Ginge, as it needs to fly under the radar, Aus has a very strict flora and fauna import policy... At least I found a chilli head seed website Now, all I need is to find the tomato site, the pea site, the bean site and the squash site and and and...

Goodess, I missed all this news! Australia! Am I reading right! Have to admit I have been wrapped up with being a nan and not been around much, but I missed all this. What did you do do with chooks? How long have you been there? You'll be able to grow a whole heap of different stuff and make us all very jealous !

Oohh, you're a nan! wow congrats. By the way, the worst thing about being a nan is you sleep next to a grandad

Our girls went to a farm, and we moved over here a couple of months ago. So still finding my feet with regards to everything. Still need to find a decent GC near here.

Ginge.. hmmm you are a temptress
