  • Cherry picking??

Hi, can I pick some brains about what sort of cherry tree I should get? My friend has offered to buy me a tree (or two) for my birthday. I want to grow in pots and something thats good for eating straight from the tree. I know I might need more than one for pollination but other than that I really have no idea. Any suggestions?

Cherry trees for sale. Organic. Buy online from nursery

As far as I can remember - you need to be putting them in when they are dormant - ie during late autumn and early winter...

I got this one earlier in the year. It's self fertile so you don't necessarily need more than one tree. My purchase was container-grown rather than bare root so repotting was less time-sensitive. Got a first year haul of 3 cherries - and they were lovely. New branches and leaves have developed well over the summer so hoping for a few more fruits next year...
