Ours are starting to colour too. It does seem a bit early. Can you add your location to your profile please? Then it will show up on your posts and you won't have to keep telling us where you are.

Blackberries like a lot of other stuff are quite early this year I have been picking slowly for just under a fortnight.

I got four yesterday, and the plant is so laden with fruit it's broken off the fence. Guess I'll be making gallons of blackberry port this year, *sigh*, what a chore

It's a rotten job chuck, but somebody has to do it!

Here in NW Kent the first wild green blackberries are just beginning to turn red. We don't have "tame" blackberries - yet. But generally, my tame soft fruit is early - tayberreis are over and redcurrents and gooseberries very nearly done. No rasberries this year because of an accident with the fruit cage involvng a collapsed wall , but they would be coming strongly now. We will pick some gages (Ollins Golden Gage ti be precise) over the weekend for bottling - but these will be a bit underripe.

I picked the first tame blackberry this morning, and there was only one, the rest won't be ready for a week or so. This year's harvest looks like a bumper one though and a good month early I'd say..Blackberry and apple pie, anyone?
