  • A sad day for Zebedee

Yes, a sad day indeed. It appears that Mr Arthritis has got the better of me, and I shall have to give up the allotment at the end of this season! A very happy and productive 6 years, I might say. However, being a bloddy minded bloke, I am not giving up totally, and will be looking at all sorts of raised beds etc for the garden. Watch this space, peeps!

I'm really sorry to hear that Zebedee.

Good luck with the raised beds though, I have a no-dig garden and managing to grow a fair amount of veg in smallish spaces. I have an illness that prevents me from doing too much at any one time, so just want to say keep smiling, keep growing.

That's terrible news, sorry to hear that
Still, as Helga has said, you can perhaps have a no-dig garden. Good luck with whatever you decide and don't forget to take it a bit easier.

Perfect attitude dude, might reduce what you can do but not stop it totally.
Raised beds great idea, and I know a lot of folk do the no dig thing, so why not you.

I still fully intend to grow old disgracefully, being immature for ever, swagging m'beer, and doubtless being a right grumpy old fart. Ride on, dood.

One door closes and another is opening Zeb . You may have to give up your allotment but I'm sure you will find other ways of growing your own . Good luck to you .
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

Arhur is no friend of mine either Zebedee, sorry to hear you have to give up your allotment. You'll probably find it much easier in your own garden, I know I do and it's not far to the loo either!
