  • Holes in my runner bean leaves?

First time growing beans, they are in a tub with wigwam canes and seem to be doing well - red shoots/flowers on them?! but have noticed the odd hole in the leaves a few days ago but i can't find any "bugs". Whats the best thing to do /spray them with (i've looked at a veg bug spray but beans weren't mentioned).

    Many thanks for any advice.

Most likely nibbles are slugs and snails. Depends how you deal with them. Runner beans are quite robust plants once they get going so I wouldn't worry about spraying. Aphids can be a problem later in the year but I generally find that they only get bad by the time the crops is nearly finished so not a problem.
