Hi, I bought a kiwi plant from wilkos about 5 months ago, and it thrived for 3 months, it wrapped around the cane and grew and grew (5 feet), then suddenly the top growing end just withered and died. The bottom half still looks ok, although the leaves show signs of partial rotting or drying out, but I use a moisture gauge so I know its not a water problem. its in a consevetory with a anti frost heater - its never gone below 8c. do I bin it or wait?

God knows what upset it? I’d hold on it might do about turn. The top withering and dying might mean it dried out? Also the light levels in winter here would be too low for it to carrying on putting out growth so it might have just suddenly realised it was winter and given up. It should be putting on new growth now, if its not I’d try again. You know that you need to two for any half decent crop? Jenny is supposed to be self-pollinating, but if you plant two you get a much better crop than one on its own.
