  • How late can I leave it until planting my spuds?

This year's potato beds are still full of purple sprouting broccoli which is cropping really well so I don't want to dig them up yet. (I'm having to re-jig my crop rotation as got everything the wrong way round last year).

I have a few bags I can put some spuds in but have dozens to plant at the lottie. How long can I leave it before putting them in?

Are they first, second earlies or maincrop? Easter was a traditional time for planting spuds, but that is a very moveable event which this year is w/e 23-24th so presumably you are O.K. till then.

Not got mine in yet. 2 elderly parents in hospital - one of mine and one of Himself's - has soaked up time with visiting etc. One day -I'll get me spuds in!

I wasn't very well last springtime and my spuds weren't put in the ground until mid may. I didn't plant maincrop and concentrated on earlies and second earlies apart from my sarpo mira which were mega mega late.
