  • Asparagus - From Pot To Allotment

I planted from asparagus seeds earlier this year in pots and now have around 30 plants growing well in my unheated greenhouse.

The plan is to have a bed for them at my allotment but when would be the best time to replant them?

I'm not sure if they can go in next spring or if they need another year in larger pots before transplanting them.

    Thanks in advance, Brian

Keep them in the greenhouse over winter, and plant them out in spring. That's how I did mine and they are fine. Good luck with them - I love fresh asparagus.

Thanks, I know I'll have to wait a couple of years yet but cannot wait for the first harvest.
