Lord, that is a tricky one - what was it growing on??Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to? -
I have grown a bean called "purple queen" in the past and there are a number of other peculiar coloured bean pods, but your picture shows quite a short one, whereas most beans would be longer. I will be interested to see if someone comes up with the correct answer.Comment

Plus the inside of the pod is all gooey.....
Is it on a tree, shrub, bush; where did you see it, garden, wood etc etc......
Are those the leaves of that plant showing?
