Help !! I bought some cyclamen coum corms and I can't tell which way up to plant them they have a dent in one side and a rounded other side .

I think the dent side is the top and which should be placed with its 'shoulders' proud of the earth/compost.

If overwatered this dent can collect water and rot the corm. I think this is also true of begonias? In fact any corm which presents with a dent as you call it.

I have just 3 one year old 'babies' started from seed last year and they're still roundish with a bit of a point - no flowers yet and I think I'll have to wait another year - but quite interesting to see just how quickly the seed bulks up to form the corm. Leaves are now getting quite large.

Yes, rounded side down, dimple on the top!

Don't plant too deep though. Don't fill the dimple with soil.
