  • Caterpillar problem.

    Hi,

    Has anyone got any good tips on how to deal with caterpillars other than combing the lefs for them and there eegs and picking them off?

      Even if you use netting you still need to inspect your crop. Butterflies are sneaky little so and so's.

        Netting is your best bet but as Rustylady says, you do still need to check but it lessens the squishing you have to do.

        By the way, love the name

          Thanks guys.

          I did net the crop in the beginning to keep the pigeons off but then uncovered everything when it had got to a good size. A case of premeture unnetting it seems.

            I planted out my PSB , put netting over them . then when I checked a few days later there was one caterpillar on each plant..........duly picked and squished. I'll have another check tomorrow. The cabbage whites are bouncing off the netting trying to get to the brassicas...determined or what
