    Anyone here grow this?

I 'obtained' some seeds on one of my trips to Ryton last year in the autumn, and sowed them and we now have them in our garden

They are lovely, they bring the bees in and once the flower die - you are left most of the winter with Statuesque seed heads which help keep interest until the Spring colour bursts out.

Totally recommend it, if you have the space.

I like 'acquiring' plants, the last two (yukka/dracena) I got were from a skip!

Those are very pretty zazen, the flowers look a little like nettle flowers

            Regards

I really like these too, they are very easy to grow from seed and apart from a shear right down in the spring maintenance free too! Irritating hairs though so I have to wear gloves (slugs don't like them either!)
I grew the purple variation from seed too but wasn't that impressed - they kept toppling over in the wind

Yes, it's also known as Jerusalem Sage [Don't tell Snadge though, he'll want to eat it].

I didn't know the name until recently, I asked my colleague at Ryton what it was [she knows most of the plants there, bless her] and she pointed me in the right direction of the name.

I'm with you Snadger, my sister is a flower fanatic, but if I can;t eat it I'm not interested!!

She trailed me around the Floral Hall at the Gardeners World show, I only brightened up when I saw the Veggie seed man (bought 10 packets)
