I have some blue lake which say they can be sowed till June, going to try a few of those. I also have dwarf french 'tendercrop' which say sow till July. Not a lot to lose by trying some anyhoo.

I thought you planted Christmas Spuds in August? I may be wrong!

Worth a go with dwarf french which crop earlier than the others.

Yup, we planted our last batch of dwarf french beans a few days ago, they say (on the packet) they can be sown until late July, and harvest until early October, but only time will tell if they will produce a meaningful crop, but thats the joy of successional planting, plus it fills a gap left by other crops that have now been removed and its much nicer ot have something growing rather than an empty bed IMHO!
