    New raised beds, Can i plant anything this time of year?

    Hello,
    I have just compleated my raised beds in the front garden and was wondering if there are any vegetables i can start growing this time of year?
    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    salad crops, carrots, winter brassicas (buy some plants from the GC that are already growing), peas, possibly some types of beans, you never know, you may be able to find a few veg in the GC that are big enough to give you some crops before the end of the growing season!

          I've just sown another batch of blue lake beans - mainly as I'm having trouble keeping up feeding the slugs them

          You're right near me (I'm in Caerphilly) - hi A great book I got is Allotment: Month by Month - really useful, I look at it each month to see what I can be sowing/should be ready for harvest.
