  • Raspberry confusion

Last summer I bought a Glen Moy raspberry 'bush' in a pot. I bought it at the local farmers market and because it was full of fruit which were totally delicious - good selling point! Anyway, from reading all the rasp threads on here, I now wonder if I am supposed to cut everything down to ground level, leave it well alone, or plant out as separate plants. I am restricted to light duties due to a nasty bug so can't even go out to check whether they are individual canes and I got a huge bargain! Half the plant was in fruit and the other half sort of bare sticks. Sorry for such a long question but thought I should cover all the details. Was planning on re-potting in a larger pot in the next few weeks - will that be suitable?

Summer fruiting rasp remove canes that fruited last year, the sort of bare sticks are the ones that will produce fruit this year

Thanks, is it okay to plant all together in one big pot or will that become obvious when I take it out of the pot it is in?

I have never grown them in pots but you should be able to see if it needs dividing and putting in a couple of pots rather than one.

Thanks, as I say, I bought it as they tasted lovely, didn't really think beyond that bit! Boy I have some gardening to catch up with!
