  • What do you think.......

I've got sweet peas and sunflowers that have been in the blow away , which is left open , for the last two weeks. Just had a look on metcheck and we seem to be in for a spell of decent weather in our area. Do you think its safe to plant them out, my book says April as they are hardy annuals. What do you reckon guys and gals of the vine ? I really could do with the room .

Don't know about sunflowers as I don't grow them, but my sweet peas have been planted out about 3 weeks now with no adverse effects and I'm that bit further north than you. Always found them to be quite hardy.

Harden them off if they need it, and get them out. My sweet peas are going in tomorrow; my sunflowers haven't shown their faces yet.

My uncle put his sweet peas out yesterday, with a cloche, and he is a man who knows what he is doing, so I'd say, yep, get them out
