  • saving 'tea water'

My mum told me to save my old tea bags ina pint of water as it's great for your roses - is this true? And can I use it on all plants?

    thanks.

Seems to work, don't know why. Also the teabags can be added to your compost, although I usually cut mine in half. The outers don't seem to rot.

They are acidic so I think they are beneficial to acid loving plants such as camelia, rhodedendrons, azaleas and blueberries. Not sure about roses though.
