  • Virtual allotment

I was looking a gaming consoles and they have all sorts of "virtual" applications such as "tennis", "rock band" etc.

Has anyone seen a virtual garden or allotment game ?

You could envisage a hoe where you can hoe your virtual onions.
Or even simulate the whole growing experience where depending on how you nurture your garden you get big veg or small veg.

You could even have competitions across the internet with other virtual gardeners.

So you could pass the cold winter months in you virutal allotment.

Jimmy, you need to get a life!

Have you tried Bookface - they have virtual farms and all sorts of stuff - don't get hooked though, coz when spring gets here you won't want to do the real thing!

Why would you want to? I like the peace, quiet and fresh air of the real thing, plus exercise, being away from IT / phones etc and you can't eat virtual veg!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Erm, not that i am a saddo on anything (honest, really) but there is a game called Viva Pinata (i have the p.c version but is available on xbox too) which is based on a farm plot that you renovate, plant flowers, veg, fruit, trees etc and is visited by little animals which you have to entice to stay on your farm & breed. Its quite sweet.

                        Has everybody lost the PLOT?

I know of a few games loosely based around farming or growing things. I can't think of anything allotment based though:

Bushtarion - Farming themed web based war game
Colony - Classic ZX Spectrum Sci-Fi mushroom farming game (You'll need to install an emulator to play)
Farmville - Cutesy online Flash farming game that requires a Facebook account to play
Highgrow - Realtime marijuana growing simulator (PC only)
