  • Osteospermum cuttings advice needed.

I've just been given some osteospermum cuttings. Anyone grown these before and got any tips? Particularly do they want to be in the house, the cold green house or outside whilst striking? Any particular type of growing medium? Does hormone powder help? Thanks.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

I'd keep them frost free but not too warm otherwise they'll get drawn. They're a tender perennial from South Africa but usually grown as an annual here on account of the frost

I have white and purple osteos in the borders outside. The frost knocked them over, but they aren't dead, in fact the purple osteos survived last winter now I come to think of it ... they were huge plants this summer.

I've always struggled with cuttings from them (indoors), but I've just been out to peep on this autumn's cuttings, and the ones in the (now) roofless plastic greenhouse are doing fine.

So I'd say no, they don't need to be too warm.

Thanks peeps. They are now sitting in the cold g.house in a mixture of compost and sharp sand. Hope a couple make it through.
