  • what to do with ...

Hi all, down on the plot today (wasn't it lovely by the way! ) I was kindly given 5 raspberry canes. Now, i have planted them but not knowing what kind they are I don't know what to do next! I was told that they would fruit twice - once in june and again in september so I dont know if thats a clue but I ahve no idea of looking after, pruning, anything really! HELP!!
    Thanks
    Raine

I would guess that they probably fruit on old (1 year old) wood. So cut the old wood out in October & tie in the new years stuff. You will do best if you support them somehow (Post & wires)

    Try one of these,

Plant well in a hole full of Compost and mulch over the top afterwards,
