    Cestum nocturnum

    Anyone grown this before ? I have one which is approx 3' tall and just about to come into flower for the second time this year.

    It's in the conservatory, heated to a minimum of 10 c at night all winter, watering when needed with hard (ish) tap water and fed weekly.

    It does lose some of the older leaves (as i suppose all evergreens do) but not sure if i should be watering with soft water.

    Any help on keeping this beauty alive for next year will be appreciated.

      I grow Cestrum Parqui in a big pot on my patio. It seems pretty tough. I thought
      I had lost it after quite a hard winter but blimey up it popped again in May. It
      had died right back to ground level and looked just like a few bedraggled twigs! I
      nearly chucked it out.
      It is not the most exciting looking shrub but I like it and love the night scented
      flowers. They smell gorgeous when I am in the garden on warm summer evenings
      enjoying a mohito.
      I am going to try growing a deep blue clematis next to it to clamber through and
      extend the period of interest.
