    In need of some support?

    Firstly, I can't remember what the plants are - I think foxgloves are in there, but can't recall (planted last year having grown from seed). They stayed green over the winter, and this year have put on loads of growth.

    My first question is, can you identify them?

      I think they are foxgloves, and the tall ox eye white daisy?

          Gosh, I was thinking about ox-eye daisies - mine have slightly bigger serrations (sp?) along the edges of the leaves though...

                Only if they fall over, lol

                I think they should support themselves if they are planted securely, but might
                sag a bit after a downpour or gail etc.

                If they are the white daisys they will bloom later in the year.

                The foxgloves may well need a cane though

                  Foxgloves and ox-eye daisies don't need supporting - they're wildflowers so they just get on with it

                    I think foxgloves and "big daisies" - as they were described by Hazel when she donated the seeds.

                    Didn't flower last year - so hopefully this year....

                    Are they perennial?

                      I think it's foxgloves and daisies. In the ordinary way of things they don't need to be supported, but they are growing close to the fence and may "hang out" a bit to get to the light. If they do then hitchng them to the fence would help their appearance.

                        They are only shaded early in the morning - the fence runs South to North as you're looking at it, so they get the sun most of the day.

                          Foxgloves are usually biennial; ox-eye daisies are perennial
