  • When do I cut back autumn heathers ?

Should I have done this in mid-winter or something ?

    Thanks

Well I wasn't sure either and have just cut mine back. Just googled it and it says to cut straight after flowering.

      Hi Rob,

I trim mine after flowering, cut just below the spent flower heads, but try not to go into the old wood.

This will help the Heather to stay a good shape too.

All heathers should be cut back just after flowering. Just cut the flowered stems and not into the old wood. But if you missed out on doing it just do it now..

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
