  • lavender and daffodils

    Hi,

Bit or a random question here - I planted lots and lots of daffodils last autumn and they are now flowering. I have them at the edge of my "garden" (a small space for grass in my plot for picnics etc), and they are in 2 rows. Now they are perfect cause they mark the edge of my growing, but when they die back there'll be no mark, so I'm thinking of putting in something more permanent - lavender.

So here's my question - i have the daffodils in 2 long rows, around 8 inches apart - can I grow lavender seedlings between the rows and expect the 2 rows to have space to grow next year? I'm not sure how big lavender gets, but I'd love to have daffodils grow out from under it each year. Can lavender be pruned to keep it small?

If you want small, buy Dwarf Munstead (or grow from seed)
