  • multiple variety apple tree

    Hi,

You know how it is..................tv is on, dinner is cooking, kids are screaming.............
I remember 'half -seeing' something on tv about
multiple grafted [3] apple trees which included a Bramley.

I cannot remember which programme, so I've Googled but cannot find anything.
Does anyone here know who may sell these trees ?

I've wanted to grow bramleys but I understand that you need at least 2 other apples trees near by to pollonate it,as I only have limited space a grafted one would be ideal.

    thanks in advance

Good question mark and welcome to the vine by the way! I'm sure someone on here will be able to answer your question...not me I'm afraid, but will await replys with interest as this appeals to me also!

I think there was one on QVC yesterday, one of the varieties was a bramley.

Think that Ken Muir do them also, check out their web site - have had other stuff off them before and they've a pretty good service. Not tried the family trees though, would be interested to know if they're any good as was vaguely thinking of getting a plum one for the same reasons listed above ie lack of space and assistance with pollination etc.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I definitely saw these in one of the major suppliers catalogues earlier in the year. I can't be sure but I think it was Thompson and Morgan?
Let us know what you find. I'd be interested to know what's out there too.
