  • Planning the allotment I don't have

As my GP just signed me off for another 4 weeks until they have all the results of my tests , I decided to plan out my allotment.
Some of you might have read we are trying to get a new site established, we have another council meeting at the end of Feb (not even got the land yet ).
Anyway, as we have decided only to offer half size plots, I've been planning what I would do with a 10 x 12.5 plot. I know I can't guarentee the shape etc, but I'm getting some idea of how much I money I need, what to look out for on freecycle, to have raised beds, shed, compost, water butts etc. It might not even be this year, but as I can lay down while I do it, use a pencil, and read up in my veg books, I can waste some time on it.

I do know when we get it there will be nothing there, so I haven't got to worry about existing stuff, and whatever the shape, I will probably be able to adapt anything I do now.

Got to get off the computer now, I've exceeded my allowed time this morning
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
    Now a little Shrinking Violet.

Ah, planning - if I spent half as much time working my allotment as I do fiddling with rotation plans, sorting seed packets, etc, I would have a lot more veg and a much neater lottie *lol*

Fingers crossed that you get yours sorted out soon!
