  • Marking the season?

In a big toyshop today, picking up some stuff for my daughter, I noticed a stand with - guess what - Star Wars Advent Calendars.

Have I officially seen everything now?

They've existed for years, alongside the Barbie, Bob the Builder etc ones. Tacky buy some kids like them (although probably more for the choccies inside - never had pressies in them when I was a kid but don't know if that's cos nobody did or because they didn't exist)

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

My OH's DD has had a Simpson's one for years.

I wish I had seen the Star Wars one, for me.

saw the star wars ones yesterday while crimbo shopping in plymouth, nearly bought one for my grandson but decided against it as he will have one at home and one at his dads and as I only see him once a week he would have to eat 7 in one day. !!! apart from the ones at home

            And what's wrong with that!!!

My OH's DD has 2 - one at home and one here. You're only young once!!! It means she gets to have the ones she's not eaten in one day...but they're only little choccies - probably less than a choc bar so I can't see any harm in it.

I am picking him up from school soon as I always do on wednesday's, tonight its victorian evening where schools and charities sell there wares in the market, christmas carols, hot chestnuts, mulled wine, tombola stalls, father christmas etc etc. Last year we went for a pizza but this year its going to be beans on toast at home. I take him to get a present for his dad to give to him when they are with me, this year saturday after christmas. I might even let him get an advent calender

Yeah But not the Kinnerton confectionary stuff... I'm not sure if that even qualifies as chocolate

My daughter has a High School Musical one, the choc in that is yack! The lads have got Celebrations ones, they're old enough to notice the difference now

My dad works at a warehouse, and the other year he was grumbling about having to work Boxing Day as they were expecting a delivery of 40,000 easter eggs for distribution to the supermarkets.
